Appealing for your help here on this tunic that belongs to a friend of mine.
This is not an area I profess to having even the remotest expertise in so would appreciate any help that you can give.
I saw the tunic in person this past weekend. For what it is worth the buttons which are the removable type are only marked H&B (or something similar, I’m forgetting as I get older), with no RZM, SS or other markings.
The tunic is of a cotton HBT type fabric with no flaps on the lower pockets.
This is not the correct forum for insignia but if you have any opinion on the collar tabs would appreciate it as well. I’m sure you will need better photos so if they are not good enough I can try to get more.
So, what do you say? Good or junk?

Following on from my previous post, I have the Sword now in hand and can show clearer pictures of the Tang for help with the engraved markings.
As mentioned in the previous post it has the Blue+Brown Company officers tassel. It has binding to the hilt over ray skin and the tang is signed apparently by Kaneyoshi. I am told by the seller that the sword is dated September 1941, has no arsenal marks apart from a small Nagoya acceptance stamp.
Any help on the Tang would be very much appreciated. I know from the previous post (Guy) ghp95134 and Geoff Ward had looked at it, but needed clearer pictures to help further.
Thanks again,
Neil

In great condition, complete with carrying pouch, these were worn when the main lights went out.
Makers name: Auer, Neophan.
These were needed for the U-Boat crewmen, to adjust their eyes to the darkness.
Forgot I had these.. so small in it’s pouch!
I don’t think these are rare to be honest.
Huge concussion damage from the heavy Russian artillery.
God help the person who wore this lid :shok_yikes:
The SS shield survives and is still in decent condition considering.
Always wanted one
