Its not really a battlefield but I thought you might like to see this Volunteer Cadet Corps Victoria cap badge that I dug up yesterday in the central Goldfields of Victoria. Is from the 1890’s before Australia was a commonwealth and each state had its own military.

I am interested in getting a Member of the British Empire medal. Unfortunately, I am having a difficult time finding resources in determining originality. I have been looking at one on Ebay, and it lookes fine to me, but I am not well versed in the subject. Just wondering what the consensus here is on this:
