Hi all. I am not writing this seeking sympathy……………….I should have known better. I sold what I still believe to be display F1 Grenade fuse & handle mounted on a marble base & with the manufacturers logo either side. Basically a desk paperweight advertising the company which I think dated to the 1930’s & had green felt on the base(I have attached photos). I am well aware of the perils of live ordnance not least sending it by post(& the penalties). I examined the whole of the central metal part & it is made from solid metal & has been turned-there is no join. The item was sold in May & there were 2 gendarmes on my doorstep this morning explaining it had shown up on the X-Ray detectors at CdeG Airport. It doesn’t matter whether it was live or not-they think it was. Luckily I have the photos still as the listing is no longer accessible. I think I am in the sh*t……………..any advice would be gratefully received.

I reckon, I am pretty sure, after doing some research on Norm s database and picture. This must be an early unmarked AS in triangle by Gablonz3.2.3 within the classification table. Out of the pictures I cannot see any cutouts between the head and the wings, also the catch seems to be the "classic one" for this maker. Just wandering if I am right about this. Also, is this badge in your opinión kind of scarce?, regards, Juan

Hi gents,

I just picked up this belt from Germany, but it’s a bit of a mystery to me. The colour is a very very deep brown (almost black depending on the light), although on the rear the leather is a more normal brown colour, suggesting that the belt might have been blackened?
It has no markings that I can discern apart from a ‘C’ on the belt itself just behind the buckle. Length is 105cm and width is about 42-43mm.
When I received it it had a very pungent odour (it was in Fundzustand) which it still retains slightly, though it is lessening. It clearly has plenty of use and age to it.
I was wondering if anybody might be able to tell me if this is wartime issue or not, and whether or not this is a Heer officers belt? This one has me confused…
