WW1 Medals

Hi Guys
I recently purchased these medals which i thought i would share with you.
Unfortunately the ribbon is missing from the Victory medal. Hopefully i will be able to find an original replacement somewhere?

The Medals are all stamped 3336 Dvr. A. Mills - ASC (Army Service Corps).
I haven’t done any research but hopefully I will be able to find out some more information about him.
Any help or pointers would be greatly received cool militaria
Thanks
Jamie

Cased 1st Class Spange to the Iron Cross by B.H. Mayer

by: all1knew

Description: Hello all,
Here’s your chance to pick up a wonderful Cased 1st Class Spange to the Iron Cross by B.H. Mayer
Any solider who had fought in WW1 and was the holder of the 1914 Iron Cross could be awarded a second or higher grade of the 1939 Iron Cross. To permit the two medals to be worn together, a “1939 Clasp” (Spange) would be worn on the original 1914 Iron Cross
This example was made by B.H. Mayers and is typical of the maker, this is die-struck, made of Tombak and is silver washed. Measuring at about 1 ¾ inches wide by 1 ¼ inches tall, this is an absolutely pristine example. The hinge on the reverse side of the clasp is a soldered, solid piece and both that and the catch are intact and in perfect working order.

The case is made of wood and cardboard and is wrapped in a black leatherette material that is still beautifully embossed in silver ink with a depiction of the Spange. The magnetic, spring loaded button closure is fully functional and the lid is lined with champagne colored silk while the base is made of flocked felt with a cutout for the spange.

You’ll be hard pressed to find a better cased example.
