Militaria and WW2 history forum and topsites. Sõja ajaloo portaal.
A friend of mine showed me this clock today. He repairs clocks and someone gave this to him a few years back. Knowing I’m into militaria he showed it to me today.
Has anyone seen these before? A quick google search and I found similar but not exact versions ($400 price tag…eeekk!) but they appeared to be older and had a 1937 date on the front. Description is that it was probably for the British and American Bund.

The one I show here however, is made in America by Westclox of La Salle Illinois. While very similar to the one in the link, but it is different. The one my friend has seems a bit more modern in design. But I just can’t see a US manufacturer making these post war….and to what end. I can’t see anyone buying this for their kids nightstand.
The pictures are poor. My cell phone lens is cracked but was all I had.

A: REMEMBER (2015), the story of an elderly Holocaust survivor with dementia who sets out to kill a Nazi war criminal.
I already noted the film, which I saw for the first time only recently, in the thread linked below but wanted to pass on the tip to more of our members. Simply put, this is a fantastic movie…a truly well made piece of work that is, in no simple terms, a must see.

Don’t even bother with the trailer…just spend the 90 mins or so it takes to watch the film…I will be surprised if you regret doing so later…
For those that have already seen it, or go on to watch it following this notice, please refrain from adding any spoilers.
