My grandfather sent this home during WWII. I found it stuffed back in a cabinet. He is deceased and no one has any information. I was hoping to find out about this patch.
So I have been collecting for a long time now and thought I had seen quite a bit. I have no friends I can share this interest with and I need an opinion… Does this look real? I have never seen this combo of cut out and screw back! Mesures 1 1/2" by 1 3/4", looks, smells and feels genuine, just need another persons opinion! Thanks.
I just picked up this cased Order of the Rising Sun 7th class medal. It will be a nice companion piece with my 8th class. I’m really digging collecting Japanese awards!
Just pick this up just for the shell and liner band but before I start stripping the paint off of it I just want to make sure it’s not a reissue helmet from another country and paint is post war, your thoughts
Hey guys, I have been staring at my two youth knives for several months and not figured out anything on how to go about possibly repairing the one that I have. I have a Puma one that is in really rough shape but has a nice emblem still on it and at least one good grip. The blade is toast. I also have a pretty nice WKC knife that is all there except the emblem. This may be a dumb question but is it possible to simply remove the emblem from the junk one and add it to the nice one? I know the grips are riveted on and drilling them makes no sense as they wouldn’t be able to be reattached again. I hate to see these two knives just sitting around waiting for something to be done. Thanks for any help that can be offered. -Jerry
Hello ! I wonder about the dagger production at the end of the war. Produced all the daggers to the final end of war ? And in that case, how influenced was the choice of materials for manufacturing? Manufactured for exemple the diplomatic daggers until 1945?
