Question SS Polizei helmet

Dear All,

I have recently got this one in my hands. SS Polizei helmet from 4th SS division. The helmet looks very nice to me with several layers of paint and parts of fabric from the cover. Its allegedly found near Leningrad in the 90th in a place that I know well.

What I find strange is the position of the original polizei decal.

You can also see traces of paint been cleaned around decal and traces of cleaning on the other side.

What are your thoughts on this one?

Appreciate your inputs!

Regards,

E

Anti Glare M35 Gothic Line Find

Hello everyone,
Once again I come to you for help, I do not want to make a habit of this as it may get annoying for you but I enjoy talking to you guys as well as leaning.
To start off, this is an M35 I have been offered. The seller is from Italy and part of the Associazione Linea Gotica, and this helmet was found in/around Loiano in Italy. On the liner it has the previous owners name, and if I look into battles along the Gothic Line around Loiano, it seems that this helmet was from the German 65 Infanterie Division in Loiano!
The helmet is in worn condition, but during the war it was covered in a Green Anti Glare Paint, to combat the shiny Italian sun. It has the liner and chinstrap, the chinstrap seems wartime repaired. Overall I believe it is a nice helmet, I have a question about the liner pins, they seem a bit shiny, or is that just where the paint has worn off?
The seller is asking €400 which will include shipping from Italy, which seems fair. Opinions?

Narvik schilde brass

Hi guys ,yet another badge from my recent pickups thou I don’t hold out much hope on this one. If deemed bad i’ll put it in the Narvik shield fake gallery. I can’t find another quite like this on the net, the eagles head seems a bit off, not sure about the 4 fixing tabs although this has been seen on Krim shields ,not sure about originals being made from unplated brass:confused: on the plus side I like the details on the edelweiss ( maybe I should take up flower arrangeing) look forward to your opinions,
Regards,Paul:D
