Thought about Navy Last Ditch Type 99 and Help in translation translation on stock.

I recently picked up this, what I believe is an Imperial Japanese Navy "Last Ditch" Type 99 Arisaka rifle. The Vet’s family claims their father brought it back from Okinawa. It appears that the receiver, where the bolt is has been broken. It has no markings other than the small Navy stamp under the mum on top of the receiver. There are no serial numbers but a "63" and other markings/characters around the bolt and the receiver, but they appear to be matching . The rifle seems to be crudely put together, the metal parts are very rough, and It does not appear that the Type 99 and the chrysanthemum was never stamped on the top. There is also no sling swivels and no dustcover. Any thoughts on this rifle would be greatly appreciated.
There also seems to be a "brand" with characters that I would like some help in the translation and/or any thoughts as to why this may have been placed/stamped/Branded on the stock. A name, a Unit, a slogan… etc? Also above the Brand seems to be 3-4 "Lines, notches" with a few Characters painted/written on the stock. Any thought on this would also be appreciated.

“Short” Helmet

Hello All,While I was sorting out more piles of items for charity and yard sales in the room which will ultimately become my war room,I moved some of my items into a less cluttered area and found a helmet I haven’t seen in a while so I thought I would share some pictures I took a while back.I obtained the helmet from a vet who had served in Vietnam and gave it to my friend who had been a squad leader at the same time, to give to me. I thought some children had messed with it but he told me that his friend had painted it and explained the odd decorations. Definitely the opposite of camouflaged paint,I was told it was a common custom for soldiers who were almost done with their tour of duty, or "Short" In a deliberate kind of defiance painted their helmets with an array of slogans and artwork which was supposed to stand out like a sore thumb, as if to suggest they were invincible!! (Or Suicidal?) in any case the superstition worked! in this circumstance anyway.
Perhaps someone else has something similar to share.Regards,Geoff :)

Happy birthday mom!

Just a quick shout out to my mother on her 70th birthday and to show everyone what her loving son bought her. The Mossberg .410 gauge home defense model. With this shotgun, Mossberg answers that age old question.. "How does a 5ft woman eject a 7ft man off of her property?" So happy birthday and I love you mother…. Don’t get trigger happy..

SS armband identification…….

Hello everyone,
I need an opinion in a SS armband. I came across an older post here, about SS armband, being early period cotton, vs. later wool armbands. I came across this one, appears to me to be cotton, the white disc is sewed on with red thread, instead off white, as well as the black swastika, is printed on the white disc. I was wondering as to its authenticity, since there is no RzM tag. I have close to 50 armbands but no SS ones to compare it too. Can anyone gimme any ideas on its authenticity, thanks.

Wehrmacht Workers Badge

Hello All,
this is the first time I have come across what must be a fairly common badge.

But this is one of this weeks additions to my collection.

Officially described as: Abzeichen fur Angestellte und Arbeiter bei Heer, Kriegsmarine und Waffen SS.
(Badge for employees and workers in the army, Navy and Armed SS.

This is the silver version. It was given in gold after 25 years service apparently.
