Hi guys,

I’m looking for opinions on this Bandenkampfabzeichen in Bronze.
To be fair to the dealer, he doubts its authenticity having acquired it as a job lot.
However, two other dealers have told him that they believe it to be real. The price is what you would expect for a replica - £40.
Now even I know that the Souval claw was never used during the TR period. My question therefore is: Could it be that the badge is genuine and that it has had some post-war clasps and hinges soldered on to it, or is it just a pure fake?

Thought that I would share this one with you. I sold it at work this week for £2,050 (Hammer price) cool militaria The hands were free but the watch was not running and needed a service.

Obtained in Germany in 1945 by a British veteran who traded it for 200 cigarettes.
