I’ve been told this door/gate may be found at one of the concentration camps, but am not sure if that’s likely. The guy I’ve been chatting with about this photo and I were hoping it might be recognizable to someone. Does anyone remember seeing this at any camps, or are we just looking at a door here?

Right, so I bought this lid which was listed as a "WW2 British Raw Edge", the pictures of the liner were fairly fuzzy so I couldn’t make it out exactly but I could tell it looked genuine. It was going for cheap, so I took the plunge and it arrived today. To my utter surprise and excitement, it turned out not to be a British raw edge, but an nPz helmet (different from my other thread, this was just so surprising to me so I felt like sharing) so I have accidentally managed to acquire a second, nPz helmet - happy days

Sometimes sellers will just make a mistake, or misidentify something and it can go wrong but sometimes it can turn out as a happy accident!

Hey, I have been browsing this forum looking at certain daggers and items, and I seen a few posts which talk about how to spot a fake and some daggers which have flaws which expose them as not being authentic, and this makes me wonder, why?

These daggers are from almost 100 years ago at this stage, blacksmithing and weapon creation has come a long way since then, for example;

http://i.ebayimg.com/images/i/272157…-1/s-l1000.jpg - A sword from a video game, this sword did not exist in real life, yet they were able to create it, when it has much higher detail, than for example; an SS chained dagger.

with this in mind, why couldn’t someone just completely recreate an SS dagger without any flaws? are they lazy? they see it as unethical? they don’t have access to the original materials used in the forging?

I just don’t understand why.

Hello everyone, ive just come across this partial decal lufty camo…i just need some help if anyone has seen this unusual type of camo before, parts are quite thick..sorry in advance for the bad photos, but the elderly shop owner wouldnt let it out into the sun!
