War Relics Militaria sales

I recently got my hands on this M40 helmet with the remains of wire camo. As you can see this helmet still has a lot of paint, a decal and a hell of a lot of rust. The first thing i want to do with this helmet is clean it with some oxalic acid ,but I’ve heard that it lightens the paint. If I were to put this helmet into a solution of 100g/8l would it lighten the color and damage the decal? How long should I leave it in the solution?

Hi Guys,

I almost have my SA uniform complete. Only thing missing is some breeches. I am offered these breeches and they look ok by me. Just want to be sure and asking your final judgement. More detailed pictures of the inside are on there way. Gr. Tim
