M40 SE wss

Hello,
I saw this shell on sale. The finish look doubtful to me. As it was hard cleaned.
But the decal look like a good CA Pocher… So I would like to know what do you think about this M40 SE.

Sorry for the bad pics, I don’t have any better:

KRETA cufftitle photographs

Hello all!

I thought to ask this reputable forum’s members to show their photographs of the KRETA armband in wear!
I show a very nice portrait of a FJ soldier wearing his awards and the KRETA armband in Collectro’s Guild newsletter and I thought that it would be very interesting to see other photos as well!
So "show them if you have them" as a nice thread says!

I’ll start with some I found over the years online!

ps.1 Another reason is that I’d love to make a display case of the insignia of an FJ soldier alongside my KRETA and I want to take ideas from the photos!

ps.2 I’m interested in buying an original photo depicting the KRETA in wear if anyone has one that can let go!

1. Here’s the one on sale on Collector’s Guild:

2. Another one with the KRETA barely visible under the AFRIKA one on this lovely studio portrait!

3. And another one that is a bit blurry!

HEER M35 ET64 named double decal helmet.

Evening gents, I just picked up this nice un-messed with named HEER double decal M35. It is an ET64, Lot number4397, the decal has toned to a nice golden colour and even though there are KM examples listed in this batch range I am 99% sure this is a HEER helmet. The helmet itself has pitting to one side as if it were on it’s side on the ground for some time, the other side is pretty clean, showing the "shiny" apple green paint at it’s best. It is named "Schmitt" and liner and pins are un-messed with other than a period repair that has been made to the back of the leather where the seam split. All of the zinc leather securing pins are un-disturbed so it has not been out or replaced. The typical earlier square D-bale liner is rock solid and un-disturbed and the chinstrap is also original, just a touch stretched and the tip is missing. A good solid battle worn helmet.
I hope you like it, Leon.

USN Leather Flying Helmet NAF 1092-71 help

I found this flying helmet at a local antiques shop and trying to research the inscriptions. The helmet is a "NAF 1092-71" and the names look like "R.C. Crensa?w" and "J.R. Caufield" with "A. 12 43" next to Caufield. Does anyone know what "A. 12 43" represents?
