Jersey Islands Military Museum

Earlier on this year I visited the Jersey Islands Military Museum, A number of years previously I went to the jersey war tunnels and it was of course very informative. This site on the other hand I believe to be a little less well known and is situated in one of the island’s many fortifications. The place is absolutely packed with artifacts and numerous bits of ephemera relating to Jersey’s conditions of surrender. Visiting this place kick started my interest in third Reich daggers and knives.

If anybody would like to visit the place it is quite easy to access by the local bus service, you can find some blow their website and a few photos from my visit for anybody who is interested.

Trench Art Russian M 1909 Mess Kit

Can someone translate the inscription on the reverse of this Russian Mess Kit? The obverse apparently shows dueling Russian and Austro-Hungarian soldiers.

New Member beginning my collection.

Hi everyone, I’m new to the forum and I thought I would introduce myself.

I’ve largely been interested in firearms however it’s only been recently that I’ve gotten into bayonets and daggers. I know third Reich items in particular are rife with fakes and unscrupulous sellers, so thus far I’ve only been acquiring items from well-regarded dealers who all offer a returns policy. It’s an amazing how addicting this hobby can be and I hope my modest (but growing) collection might be of interest to you all. feel free to tell me what you think.
