Hello everyone!

I would like to submit this gas mask example I’m considering for review, and would really appreciate some opinions on it. I’ve been on the hunt for a matching numbered set for a while, and even though the canister looks to be labeled 483, the seller tells me it’s 489 like the mask. My concerns would be any details I’ve missed that would somehow indicate it is a put together set, been repainted, or otherwise messed with postwar etc.

Had a good time today in New Orleans ww2 museum. It is a lot bigger than I originally thought and still expanding. Went on the private tour and took as many photos of items as I could for you guys. Photos include exhibits and items from the vault. Hope you enjoy.

Here is my later issue Italo-German Campaign medal for African 1941. It’s a pretty nice medal not a zinc piece. Maker marked on the front D E Marchis.

If I can piggyback, I have this ASA ( sadly a dug example ) that is a heavyweight too.

It is 30-31gms even with the bite outta the side and 4mm thick at the center. Vaulted too ( 2mm lengthwise and 1mm side to side ) and is strong on the details. Wish it were in better nick but its still attractive.

Any idea on the maker, Ned or Stewy?
