Verwundetenabzeichen 1939 in Schwarz, Chaotic Dot or Assmann Design.

I could not turn down purchasing this badge recently. I have another of this design but it is different. This example exhibits the dot pattern on the reverse as well as the obverse, where the other one I have is smooth on the reverse. It appears that someone has repainted the reverse but that doesn’t really make any sense as this side would be the most protected from wear. Anyways, I couldn’t turn it down. :)
Ralph.

Canadian Caps and Cap Badges RCAF Help PLEASE

Hi All, Can anyone suggest a site or book etc that illustrates cap badges of the RCAF from WWII to date please. I have tried Canadian Dress Regs which has an abundance of information covering everything from ranks to how to lace your boots but not cap badges. I have also spent several hours trying a variety of sites including manufacturers and dealers etc but found nothing.
Any assistance would be gratefully received.

With thanks, regards and best wishes Michael R

Need help! Helmet plate for dicussion

Hello,
could you help me judging about the authenticity of this badge please.
To me it doesn’t feel good, but it just is a guts feeling, so I would like a better opinion.
It seems pretty heavy to me; nearly 50 gr. (47 to be exact.)

Marine Infantry tropical uniform

Goodmorning everyone,
today I wanted to show an even little-known, but I think interesting, it is the tropical infantry uniform of the Royal Italian Navy; it was widely used during the campaign for the conquest of ‘East Africa of 1935-36 and later during the North African Campaign of 1940-42, for example: it was used by sailors of the San Marco Battalion during the Tobruk Battle.
Depending on the case it could be worn with long pants or with short ones, and was used the tropical helmet or the helmet of M33 steel.
This example is still in very good condition, but has been widely used and the originally khaki colour, a little darker, has faded with washing and exposure to the sun.
This type of uniform was also used during the RSI period, and after the war I think it was still used by Italian sailors during the period of Italian Administration of Somalia of UN mandate (1950-1960).
