Both my granddads fought in WW2, one was posted in Burma but the other (who I never knew) did something else which left him traumatised… I only have this one photo of him during that period but have not been able to identify much from the photo. The rumour is that he enlisted below age with a different name…but this could be a myth! Many thanks for any help.

Hi Gents ,

With permission from an associate of another forum…I an posting for discussion to the Heer collectors here of the Rarity of Wooden grips used on Heer Daggers.

We dont see much of of these ..but I am curious if other producers chose to use wood instead of celluloid.

Was this a shortage alternate option ?

And very happy to be in a position to do it, life has been quite challenging over the past eighteen months for me so I dropped off the radar for a bit. Prior to that I made regular donations to the forum, long before the gold members club existed, purely because I thought it was a worthwhile expenditure - and I still do.
