I picked up a Smock from a friend and there has been some questions on the authenticity of the item. My friend said he will refund me of is fake . A few thing to note is that the elastic waste band is pretty stiff which is unusual and it’s missing a button. I’ve done a few basline test such as burning a string and using a black light and those have checked out . Thanks for the help!

Hello,

This is not my area of interest, but finally I want to find out what I have… I suppose this is a WW2 K98 bayonet marked Berg& Co. Also I found a numbers/digits. Please find attached photos.
I couldn`t find any dates, I found before on this forum great information that it should be 2 digit date at the back of the blade, near the crossguard (Berg& Co) Unfortunately no visible date on my bayonet.
Is there any chance to find out if this is a early, mid, or late war, and if this is a common example? I will greatly appreciate any information. Thank you

Good Morning, Friends…
I picked up a scarce February 1945 Issue of "Front und Heimat", a Soldier’s News/Propaganda-Paper… This particular issue focuses on the Red Army’s brutal conduct on German soil, such as the rapes and mass deportations of civilians…Clearly written to inflame the reader and to inspire maximum resistance among the troops…
These late-war papers are my favorite…Much harder to find these days…It will make a nice backdrop for my late-war Volkssturm Grouping…;)
