Description: Hello all,

Here’s your chance to pick up a boxed EK_1 that’s complete with the outer cardboard carton. On the underside of the carton there is a name written however I do not believe this was not the original owner. When I opened the case a photo of a German soldier sat in the upper lid, and I can only assume this is a photo of the recipient. The cross itself is a beautiful L/52 Zimmerman marked example that has nearly all of it’s factory frosting. The paint to the core is not perfect as can be seen in the photos, which is odd considering how flawless the frosting truly is. The outer carton is correctly marked for Fritz Zimmerman of Stuttgart. One flap of the outer carton has been lost to time. An added bonus is that the actual award case is L/52 stamped as well in black ink on the white satin of the upper lid.

Hello

I get today this early war 1939 named MKII Helmet .

Helmet has outside Slightly rough camouflage , and it looks like on the front are removed badge , do you have an idea ? .

Another nice battle worn item from David’s find.

This is a Deumer Krim shield. 99% of the bronze wash is gone and it has just a minimum of what may be zinc pest (which has now been treated with a micro layer of Vaseline).

This one has the paper backing but the glue has dried out thus allowing us to see the reverse. This one was only manufactured with 3 pins (not broken) as you can see from the impressions on the reverse of the paper backing. Thanks to Stewy for pointing out that this could be to save time (as the worker were paid by the piece) or to save material. You can also see (as pointed out by Ralph) that one of the prongs was moved at one point a long time ago. The rust stain and the paper backing glue done match up.

All just little tidbits that make this hobby so much fun.

I check local listings quite often for WWII items of interest and this painting recently showed up. I don’t know much about art in general, especially art from the time period, and was wondering if anyone here knew anything about this painting or ones like it. The seller states that it is an oil painting by an artist named "Janowski" and that it was dated to 2/17/42. He also claims to have documentation though I don’t have any picture proof of it, and he says that it was a G.I. bring back from the fall of berlin from a russian soldier, and that it sat in his attic for 65 years. A likely story however true or untrue it is. The photos are seller photos and aren’t super great but its all I have to show. Thanks in advance!
