I would greatly appreciate any help or opinions on the translation of this crate lid. I know it says "volatile oil" & "flammable". What I’d like to know is what type of oil & any guess for what oil was used in. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I am trying to find a ground plan / layout of Crossen POW camp WW1. My grandfather was a POW there & he was given a painting (attached) of the Watchtower by a fellow POW a Frenchman called Etienne Saint Paul. We have done extensive research into both their service records & are having the painting analysed. Little info on the internet about Crossen but wondered if anyone has a plan of it, or any ideas where we can get one. My cousin who owns the picture is visiting the site of the camp in Krozno, Poland as it now is, this summer. The town has a small museum but only a few photos of the camp.

I have a question about this Italia shield. I could not find any in similar ones in the database,so wanted to hear Your opinions about it. Original or fake!? I personally don’t like the cloth around the shield.
