Found a guy selling of some pots unpainted from a surplus store dating back from the 40`s.
be a shame to see it rot away, so maybe another restoration job for the summer.
Seems a little weird for fixed bale front seam not to have been painted, i assume factory rejects maybe the case.

Description: For sale is a beautiful WWII era pewter ashtray depicting the bust of a soldier wearing a stahlhelm. As you can see in the photos, the details are just fantastic. You can even make out the Heer eagle on the helmet. I am also including a genuine WWII era cigarette as well! The paper has eagle and swazi watermarks. A nice addition for display purposes.
