Unique Police Buckle

Got this excellent FLL Police buckle at a gun show today. It is unique because the tab is reversed. The smooth leather should be were the makers mark is stamped. Must have been a new guy putting on the tabs that day. Both the tab and buckle are FLL 1940 dated.

War Relics Militaria sales

Ehrenkreuz der Deutschen Mutter: Erste, Zweite, Dritte

A very common award, but always aesthetically pleasing pieces. Affordable to boot!
Took me a couple of months to acquire all three. The bronze one was my very first Third Reich piece, and came on its own. The silver came with its issue packet, and the gold with its original box. I’m very happy with these, even with the silver being very grubby, and the gold’s box suffering some damage. To my knowledge, they’re all good, original pieces.

Regards, B.B.

British Inclinometer?

Can anyone tell me anything about this instrument? I believe it’s an inclinometer, used to measure elevation or depression, but am not sure if this is correct. As you’ll see in the photos, the case is marked "G. Battle & Co.", with the year 1915 and pheon. The instrument itself is marked "R. J. Hopgood & Co. London", with the serial No.1897 and year 1915.

I’d especially like to know if these were used with artillery and, if so, if they were intended for use with a specific type of gun. Also, was this a common item throughout the war? This is the first one of its type I’ve seen.

Here are some photos:
