I have recently acquired the attached helmet. Several months ago I decided to collect each standard MK British military issued Helmet. My question is, was the helmet military issued? It is stamped Joseph Sankey & Sons 1939 and a liner to match. People think it looks green, but I think it’s either a grey or a very light blue colour. Thanks for replies in advance.

Im not sure if there is a sub-category for trench art so please move if this is in the wrong place.
Unlike my 15cm I know what fired this one, its a 21cm German Howitzer shell casing with some bizarre ‘art’.
I collect WW1 shell casing with and without ‘art’ on them but this is the oddest as it appears to have people dressed as chickens. Either that or the artist has seen some odd chickens.
Its nicely stamped on the bottom and is bloody heavy.
