A strange one for sure. the size of a corner patch for a flag, but double sided, Exquisite workmanship - heavy chain stitching to the lettering, and a bullion border - but what’s it for? I’m thinking part of a Schellenbaum measures about 12" x 10"
opinions please guys
The dull colour of the eagle can be attributed to the fact that it was never put into service. This was discovered in a basement recently in Germany, and therefore has never been in a collection before. It has the threaded holes for fixing, but no bolts or nuts
I found these in the same junk shop close together. Who knows what I missed before? IS this belt straight Navy or could it be Naval Landing Force? The prayer pouch has a little sword=possibly silver with kanji on it. The belt has a factory splice with glue and stitch.. This may be late war economy production?
Hey all, hoping someone with more gun expertise can help me resolve my Arisaka type 99 problems. I’ll try and describe the issue the best of my ability. I just put the trigger, sear and sear spring on. I placed the bolt into the barrel and was able to lock it into place. When the trigger is pulled it doesn’t release the pin to dry fire the weapon. The trigger doesn’t actually pull back when pulled. There is a upright pin the sear spring sits on and it may not be passing through the frame enough to allow the other side of the sear to drop and release the firing pin. Has anyone had similar problems with trigger/sear assembly on the 99?
