My Kriegsverdienstkreuz Klasse 1 mit schwertern boxed by Klein & Quenzer A.G.

Hello all, as the title states this is my (new to me) Kriegsverdienstkreuz Klasse 1 mit schwertern boxed by Klein & Quenzer A.G. I’d love to hear your opinions on this, it is in a box which looks to be period to me. The cross is stamped with a 65 on the back which from what I’ve read matches Klein & Quenzer. Any more information/authentication would be very helpful.

Thanks!

Edit: I have no idea why the pictures didn’t upload facing the proper way. I have no idea how to fix that because they show the proper way on my computer.

Unusual Serials K98 Bayonet

Hoping someone here will know more about this than I do. I’ve never seen a serial number like this on a bayonet. I apologize in advance for the picture rotation being screwy. That’s the way it was going for me today. I had two lines of thought as to why this may be. The first being that somebody has Force matched this blade and just started stamping serial numbers on it themselves. The second being that this was reissued down the road. The Scabbard is marked WK C 1939. It looks like any original Makers Mark on the blade was removed and the blade was perhaps reblued. I could probably see the original numbers on the blade with a little acid but I didn’t want to do that. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated

Question Polizei black and silver flat wire cap eagle

Hi All

I have posted this query in the SS forum but thought I would also post it in this forum once I saw it — I was wondering if anyone could please help me with this question - was the overseas Polizei black and silver flat wire cap eagle used only by the SS Polizei formations? I’ve spent a fair amount of time searching for information but haven’t found the answer yet.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Martin

3″ 10lb Mortar round

Thought I would change it a bit here is my inert J & W 4/44 C S 3" 10lb mortar round complete with inert fuse (5/45 build) also the bakelite transport plug which itself is pretty rare as they often got broken after the mortar was assembled. I also have a live initiator cartridge for it but it cannot be inserted into the tail for obvious reasons.
I have broken the fuse down so you can see the perforation disc the very thin shiny one and one with the transport plug in the mortar with the fuse removed it is a very clean specimen has a 1/8th " hole drilled in the band opposite side to the name. Cheers
(303 cartridge on Rt for scale as usual.)
