I recently dodged a bullet on a 1970’s reproduction SS Command flag, however this has come up and I’m wondering if its time to duck again. I don’t know the price yet, just that its going to be offered in the near future. I just cant keep myself from wondering about the sleeve eagle. Whats going on there?? I would appreciate your expertise!
A friend of mine many years ago came to my back porch to visit. He had this eagle pinned to his jacket.I asked him where he got it and he said an old vet he had been doing some work for gave it to him.I thought it looked original and said I will give you 20.00 for it as I collect this stuff. He took it off and said sure I will sell it for that.Large eagle about 3 5/8 inches long.Does it look good?
Hello,
This is the first time I’ve ever seen in person, touched, or owned one of these medal bars. I just had a few questions. Of the pictures I’ve seen of these online, most of them, kind of hang in the middle on the front of the bar. Where as this one clearly hangs from the bottom. The story i heard about these, was that it was up to the soldier to go to a jeweler to have this done, via private purchase. Is there truth to that? Is this a common backing for one of these? Also, I was wondering were these typically just worn like this during parades, ralliew, and or honoring soldiers, etc.? Thanks.
This post is most certainly not a solicitation nor sales pitch.

This board game comes complete with a customized box and the small checkers are miniature ships in different colors. There are over 500 naval mine related questions and 30 mine identifications. The first production run shall be 100 sets. One of the question cards reads as follows……
QUESTION: The map section on this game board was taken from a hand-colored engraved map published 1635 ca by Willem Blaeu in recognition of that
one made in 1626 by the FATHER of SWEDISH CARTOGRAPHY.
What was his name ? ? ?
ANSWER: Anders Bure. ( The original map scanned for this boardgame is hanging on this game maker’s wall. )
Doug has been mesmerized by the warship WASA ( sunk 1628 ) ever since he first saw it in Stockholm in the early 1960 ’s. Gifts to Niklas have always had the theme that education should be fun. So he has introduced this MINE/MIND game to motivate the sailors.
