Pet.dan. Krebs sa - plated blade

so I got a pretty nice one, but some say so sa makers used plated blades - and that mine was greatly-’polished’ to remove some dark smudges, along with the grain. I figure the work to do this would also reduce or remove the motto darkening — which to my eyes looks as normal; tho I know different makers’ etches were lighter or darked.

also, fwiw but I used to own a very clean m33ss whose non-grain blade and fittings were bright nickel’d and which raised more than one eyebrow. wittmann said it was fine and put in in his book.

thoughts please! many thanks.

Fascist era items - Medals, armshield, union card, Albanian coin…

Hello,

Here are some items related to the fascist era…

A commemorative medal of the military operations in "Africa Orientale" (instituted on 27th April 1936), with a blade "FERT" (motto of the House of Savoy) on the ribbon for the fighters. As we can see the "crowned z", this is the royal coin version.
I find Mussolini’s quote rather ironic : "Many enemies, much honor"…

A GIL merit cross : the red model was attributed to Piccole Italiane, the girls from 8 to 14 in this paramilitary organization. I didn’t find any meaning for the GIL insignia on the ribbon, I believe this could be some "customization" by the owner.

The medal size is different between this red cross and the one I already had (the light blue model was decerned to Avanguardisti, the boys from 14 to 18). Here’s a picture with the two crosses side by side :

An armshield for the Avanguardisti of Florence

A membership card of the industry workers union of Turin, from 1939

A 0,20 LEK (20 cents) coin from 1941, in use in Albania during Italian occupation. "Shqipni" means Albania (wasn’t obvious to me) :)

Regards

Need help! Assorted Medals - Need Identification

Dear Friends,

I have been offered these items but do not know what any of them are. Would you be so kind as to point me in the right direction to research them? I will get better pictures and the reverse sides.

I am sorry, I cannot get them rotated correctly.

Thanks,

William

Need help with complete a uniform

Hello,

I’m a beginner and want’s to complete a U.S. chaplain field-uniform, period 1944 Belgium, with a M41 field-jacket.

Would it be possible to combine this M41 field-jacket with a M43 fieldtrousers ? And do I need shoes our boots ? How about the markings on a Jacket and do I need a m37 shirt with markings, side cap ?

Woud a Clergy Collar be appropiate ?

I’m a noob at this but want’s to start this hobby.

Thank’s
Erik
