Transitional DD Heer M16 - ET64 - Austrian Chin Strap Bales ?

This one is a double decal Heer transitional - an ET 64 M16 shell, complete with reinforced aluminum banded M31 liner and chinstrap. The paint is 98%+ intact. The grey lined Adler took an unfortunate hit, but still rates a conservative 90%, and the Tri Color is a solid 98%+. Although an ET shell, at some point it was fitted with Austrian chin strap bales which were bent inward but left intact on the shell when the helmet was last refitted. I can’t say that I have seen this before. I guess the Austrian bales may have been factory installed for whatever reason, or maybe they replaced M91 lugs during an interim reissue? Any insights on this would be appreciated. Anyway, it is a pretty fair example. Hope you like it. Jim G.

NEED HELP Luftwaffe M35 DD SE 62 — right helmet with all good matching components ?

Dear colleague collectors,

Have an urgent question about the next Luftwaffe helmet maded M35 by SE 62, because I have an option on it.

WHAT ARE YOU OPINIONS ABOUT THE FOLLOWING:

- total impression: shell, decals, liner, rivets, decals and chinstrap et cetera?

- Decals ok ?

- Chinstrap: right colour? [seems to be brown, or is darker black more common on such helmets ? ]

I PREFER A HELMET WHICH IS FULLY AUTHENTIC: thus with all components time aging, pre May 1945 and that all elements
are a good match with this specific shell, thus prefer a non- replaced chinstrap and a non-replaced liner and non-replaced rivets

It seems that I can not copy the website images, so I have photographed them and attached here below. But so a bit unsharp perhaps.

Hereby the weblink: https://www.weitze.net/militaria/50/…n__290850.html

(but normaly I would not attach weblinks, but because I can not copy and paste the images or attaching print screens this solution -sorry for one time)

Lot of thanks for your help!!!!!!!

RAD Officials Fender Pennant

Hello,

I am looking into possibly picking this up for my RAD collection along with a RAD Photo Album. Still trying to see if I can come to terms with seller on a price that will work for both of us. The fender Pennant is made of a olive drab wool and is double sided. It is 12" X 7½". The hoist area of the pennant retains the original metal attachment brackets. I have only seen these a couple times in my travels and believe them to be hard to locate. I did post 3 pictures here of this pennant in use with RAD Official’s vehicles. Do any of my fellow collectors have one of these pennants and are you willing to post a few pictures for reference here to compare. I am pretty comfortable with its construction and authenticity but thought I would post some pictures.
