Picked up today, 1985 dated made by NP Coventry, good condition and it came with both MTP and DPM covers, with the latter being obviously an earlier type, even for DPM covers I think.
I wanted as early an example as I could find so was glad to get this local to me.
Could someone identify what "Div. 6-23" represents on my ditty bag and whether the bag is WWII era or post war? Also, I’ve not had any luck tracking down info on this sailor and any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I though I would share a WWI-era grouping that I picked up at a flea market a few weeks ago. It includes a 1916 dinner menu from Marine Barracks, Port Royal, S.C. and photos.
Has any of you seen an Greek example in collection? This pic of Greek axis soldiers wearing national shield i have never seen before. Anyone out there with some information around this?
