Good afternoon (UK time!),

Is there any reason why I shouldn’t put a sachet of silica desiccant in a dagger case together with the dagger during storage?

My reasoning is that it’ll absorb any damp in the air but a friend thinks it’ll make everything too dry.

Please advise!

Here are 4 pretty good examples of WWI shells used during WWII - reissued to the WH during the War to 1940 specs. The first 2 are standard shells, but the maker stamps are covered in paint. I don’t know if we know who made the M18 ventless shells and this one is unmarked. All three of these are size 66. The final piece is an ECO, obviously an ET64. If anyone has the time and inclination, please add more "reissues" to this thread. Jim G.

Reference: OEK 3824/2, awarded 1939-1945
Scarce early type with round top of the digit ‘3′ in date 1939
(usual the top of ‘3′ is sharp).

Manufacturer: unkown, by some soxperts attributet to Deumer

Classic three piece construction, with magnetic core. Very nice condition,
but some rust on swastika
