Question Kriegsverdienstkreuz Klasse 1. mit Schwertern

This is my second Kriegsverdienstkreuz Klasse 1. mit Schwertern. This one is boxed and comes with makers mark L15 on it the pin. Again I think and feel its OK but have not had much luck over the last week or so.

If someone more informed than me can give me the thumbs up or even down on this I would be most grateful.

I’ve not come across a box like this one in my research but I may have missed it.

British gas mask spectacles , WWI?

(Sorry I first posted this in ‘equipment-field-gear’. I guess here might be better? How do you delete the original?)

Hi All, Recently I have added to my goggle collection by getting some Gasmask Spectacles.

Now I know the difference between WWI and WWII German ‘Masken Brille’, with the long shank and stubby arms respectively. I also have a couple of pairs of British Gasmask spectacles; the ones with the vertically flat arms . These are always described as WWII issue.

Did the British have specific gasmask specs in WWI?

Regards

Steve

Question Hello all! Help with a new helmet please?

Hi! I have been a lurker for a long time, thought I would take the plunge and join.

I would really appreciate it if you learned gentlemen could look at my helmet and give me your thoughts?
It is my first helmet with a decal and I am a bit nervous. Q64 RC55
Thank you in advance!!

My small Erkennungsmarken collection

Hello all! Thought I would show my small collection of German ID tags today. I believe the majority of these were found on the eastern front. There are some interesting tags in this group. There is a SS VT fragment, Stalag IA POW tag, hand engraved tag, and other random examples. Please let me know what you think.

Best regards- Jarret

Cleaning a dagger blade that has smudge, info needed

I see dealers listing daggers saying,” blade has some smudge that may clean up”.They know it wont, tried it before and the blade always looked worse than when I started.Once its there its there, from improper handling, storage whatever.I will never buy a dagger again that has “smudge”,a better name for it is plating loss and rust ! Maybe if its a himmler ss,might be able to live with a little smudge.Anyone had any luck cleaning these dagger blades?Tried Fitz, semi chrome, and mothers on an army and gave up.Live and learn.
