Verwundetenabzeichen in schwartz, original?

I am curious about the bubbles/spots (not sure what english word to use?) on the helmet on the front of this badge. Could that be a sign of a fake or normal due to poor storage/age??
Any help is appreciated!!!
All the best,
Stig

Being somewhat new to helmets I’d like some opinions on this one. Model, variant? Original paint and decal? Liner? You guys know the drill. Good or bad I would love to hear it before I attempt a purchase. As always you guys are the best. Thank you all very much.

Floyd C Browning Capt 0-129671 garment

Hello there, I am a new member and this is my first time posting here. I am trying to solve a mystery and return an item to the family of Floyd C Browning, Capt.

While cleaning out our barn, my parents and I came across what appears from my googling to be a US Air Corps issued B4 garment/flight bag with the following info:

Floyd C Browning, Capt
0-1297671

It was mailed to my grandfather from an unknown location. My grandfather’s name was Leonidas "Lon" "Skinny" Seaborn Marks, born 9/6/24 in Pope, VA died 3/13/09 in Capron, VA.

I have tried locating this individual through various forms of searching, including looking for gravestones, looking through archive.gov, and other means, and cannot seem to locate him. Anyone have any hints?

I don’t know (but may be able to locate) my grandfather’s army info, like what division or whatever he was in. I know he enlisted later in the way and got sidelined in Pearl Harbor due to tonsillitis/appendicitis (cant remember which) but his ship was headed to the Philippines. He likely survived the war because he got sick and the ship left without him.

I would appreciate any help in locating this individual’s records and his family, as I would like to return the bag to them if possible and if they want it.

Thank you in advance!

Para Smock 84 pattern

Another recent addition, post 84 version para smock -with FA pouch n rear of right arm- with signs of multiple missing/removed insignia, DZ patch and Wings on right arm, Union jack and Brigade badge on left arm and also pilots wings on left chest above pocket. A shame all the insignia has been removed.

Does anyone know when officially it became standard to wear the small union jack patch on the arm on dpm?
I have read it was early to mid 90’s.
I assume this dpm dates to the mid 80’s long before the 16th air assault brigade was formed in 1999 and wonder who was wearing the air assault insignia prior to that or what other shield shaped patch was worn on the left arm? Obviously items can stay in stores or in use for many years after date of manufacture or issue and someone with pre soldier 95 dpm could still be wearing it post 1995 perhaps even as late as post 1999. I know some dpm was still being worn at least as late as 2001 in Macedonia and elsewhere.
