Helmet is a "Quist" made with a "Quist" SS insignia!
A textbook helmet found in France…

Even it’s not a mint helmet, it’s a good one…

I am attaching images of Damascus blade purchased in the early 1980s from a estate sale from a US vet

I was told that this is German Damascus

I have read about these being ‘created’ post war in England, but this one seems (to me anyway) to have better etching than a known fake I have looked at. Can anyone confirm please? Some pitting on blade and handle. Does the blade look to have been sharpened, or is it just the photo? As usual, any help appreciated.

Probably not, but does the paint on this at least look like it might be original? The swastika obviously isn’t, but what’s up with the tag on the liner? (which was probably added later since the rivets aren’t colored)

Looked interesting so I figured I’d ask about it.

Hi,

Does anyone recognize this cartridge? It’s quite large, at about 30mm. To my eye, it looks British, from the WW1 era or perhaps a bit earlier. The headstamp markings are a mystery to me, though. I’ve never seen anything quite like it, so I’m really hoping that somebody can help with a positive identification of what it might be:
