I have an NCO Katana that bears a glyph and serial numbers. This is a bare Katana without handle or sheath. Is there any way to find out the manufacturer and/or date/year of manufacture?

It is rusted and is in rough shape as can be seen.

I have heard that if it were to be done, it should be done professionally, but cost is factor. If restoration is "not worth the effort" then what?

Just got this in and I was thinking its a tank corps unit flash with a black cat and can’t find any info, the painted flash has been laquiered, I didnt pay much for it, it’s marked hs 138 complete with liner and chin strap, below are pics so maybe someone can help with what unit this is

Found this picture in a old cardbox in my great grandfathers house. Woundring if anyone can tell where it is from.
face is removed due to privacy. This might be the wrong site, and im very sorry if it is.

It is a long history behind this picture. Im trying to not get too complicated because of my bad english grammar.
The picture is from a letter sent in 1943-45.
The picture is of a unknown ancestor(probably my great grandfathers stepsister).
We are now trying to find out - but we cant really be sure of where she’s from or whats written on the backside.

We found a map over HJ districts, but we cant really find anything similar"Sü **** Ob****"
