This one is available to me at $190.00 US, probably a fair price given condition if original. I did not find a good comparison when searching. The details of the eagle look pretty good to me but the details on the tank seem a little lackluster. Is this from the amount of wear or is it a reproduction. The pics are the best I can do. The details on the clasp and hinge also look okay. All comments good or bad are appreciated.

Hello all,

Just after some opinions on this WW1 Gas Mask and tin that I am considering purchasing. Its currently being offered as being in original condition with a 1918 filter. It looks good to me but I am curious about the straps on the tin as they appear to be quite clean for a used WW1 item. Currently being offered for $450 US. Opinons?

Also, I have heard that these used asbestos in the filter although I always thought it was charcoal. Can anyone confirm?
