My small “Rákosi” Hungarian Collection

As a first post I thought I’d share a couple of images of pre-56 Communist Hungary collection.

After visiting Budapest a few years back I became somewhat ̶o̶b̶s̶e̶s̶s̶e̶d̶ interested with the 1956 revolution, and the era of 45-56, and naturally with it came the collecting. The majority of my items came from flea markets in Budapest, I’ve only ever found a couple of common badges in the UK, and they were hugely overpriced.

I also have a couple of tunics but as ever they’re difficult to display.

Military Police

Hello,
I wonder if you could give me some information on this jacket, is it ww2?
Or post war, sorry these are the only pics I have, so probably not much to go on. It’s for a friend of mine, who’s jacket it is. I must admit I have not seen this type of jacket before.
Thanks.

Three Piece Gladiator Luftschutz Factory Police Helmet - Marked “N.G.H.” and “27”

This is the second arrival this week. It is a 3 piece Luftschutz gladiator shell complete with liner and chinstrap. It retains the factory blue paint which is in excellent condition. The L/S wing decal has some wear but still displays well. The N.G.H. factory designation is hand painted above the wing and the number 27 (a rack number?) below. I don’t remember the name of the factory but the seller (Al Barrows) told me they made automotive parts. There are many bogus factory police helmets on the market today -this is not one of them. This one is right as rain - hope you like it. Jim G.
