Question on relic helmet,

Hi,
The other day i picked up two relic helmets one a M42 in ok condition, the other i thought a 42 also. This has some damage, it also has like rounded rivets in the breather holes, iv only seen one in the past with this and it was a winter camo one, could anyone tell me why the helmet would have these rivets im interested to know.
thanks Dave

sorry i cant send pics

One Helmet from Each Major Country in WWII

Hey everyone, I mostly collect Russian (I’ll post those later), but also wanted to collect one helmet from each of the 7 major countries. Anyone else do one of each, and if so, did you add an 8th, and what was it? Yes, I know I cheated because the British is actually Canadian, but close enough.

Also, I have thick skin, feel free to give me honest opinions on authenticity. I also don’t mind posting more pictures or answering any questions you have.

PAB in bronze for review.

I took a chance on this in an auction today. Is it a good one or not?

M40 SD Heer - EF62(?)

Picked this up from Chris Jones about 20 years ago, clearly a battle worn single decal M40 Heer complete with slightly damaged liner and shortened chin strap. The left chin strap bale is gone and there is some apparent damage to the small aluminum rivets that hold the leather to the band in that area which suggests to me that the helmet was forcefully torn away from a mooring to which the strap was attached. It may have been torn from the head of the wearer by an exploding shell??? Anyway, the liner is a size 55 so it is a size 62 shell but the maker/size stamp can’t be made out. The lot number is 31458. I believe that it is actually an EF shell based upon the way the lot number was stamped into the apron. There are the faint remnants of a dome stamp but I can’t make it out. The decal is fairly intact. A decent example in my humble opinion. Hope you like it. Jim G.
