Replica Type 92 Field Phone Batteries

Hey guys, I’m making a replica of the Type 92 field phone battery. Each battery has a single AA battery holder, so that you can wire two batteries in series, and get a total of three volts, just like the originals. I sell these in sets of two. Price is $20.00 USD plus $8.00 shipping. I also ship internationally, and shipping cost will be calculated based on buyers location. I also combine shipping for multiple orders. I accept PayPal. If you are interested, just shoot me a PM for my Paypal info, thanks guys!

Nahkampfspange Wehrpass

Hello everyone,

Here is a late war style Wehrpass to NCO Heinrich Eckey, Iron Cross 1st class and Close Combat Clasp in Bronze recipient.

Born 1925, He joined the Army in 1942 as a volunteer candidate NCO and was trained October 1942 - October 1943 at Army NCO schools in Eutin and Ettlingen. November 1943 he was transferred to Gren.Rgt.166 of the 82.Inf.Div then operating in Russia (Kiew, Tscherkassy).
In the Tscherkassy and ‘Hube’ pockets the Division was decimated (less then a regiment remained) and renamed Div.Gruppe.82 and was attached to the 254.Inf.Div, which was also active in the east (Tarnopol and Carpathians). Div.Gruppe.82 was disbanded in October 1944.
Heinrich Eckey took part in and survived without an injury no less than 22 confirmed close combat days from 8/3/44 till 14/4/44.
This combat must have taken a toll on him as he failed to return from leave in November 1944 as mentioned in a covering letter sent 27/3/45 by his unit to the Coesfeld Military Recruiting Dept.

Kind regards,

Will

Need help! Heereskarte Littoria

Hello friends, Here are some close ups from a Heereskarte of Littoria (Anzio Beach). I was hoping for some more information about the Artillery Regiment noted on the map - 671. Art. Reg. The map is attributed to Leutnant Westphal. I found some basic information about the 715. I.D. which was a motorized unit with artillery. Any additional information regarding the Division and perhaps Leutnant Westphal would be greatly appreciated. NH

The 715th (Static) Infantry Division was activated on 8 May 1941, and sent to southwestern France that fall. In late summer 1943, it took over the Cannes-Nice sector on the Mediterranean coast when elements of the Italian 4th Army returned home. In January 1944, the 715th was sent to Italy following the allied landings at Anzio and fought there until June, suffering heavy losses when the Allies broke out of the beachhead and took Rome. Sent to the rear, the 715th was rebuilt, largely from troops of the reinforced 1028th Grenadier Regiment and Shadow Division Wildflecken, which it absorbed. The division fought in the Gothic Line battles in September and was transferred to the Adriatic sector soon after. During this time the Italian Bersaglieri battalion "Mameli" fought under the command of the 715th Infantry Division. Rebuilt again in February 1945, it now included the 725th, 735th, and 774th Grenadier Regiments (two battalions each), the 671st Artillery Regiment (three battalions), the 715th Fusilier Battalion, the 715th Engineer Battalion, the 715th Tank Destroyer Battalion, the 715th Signal Company and the 715th Field Replacement Battalion. In early 1945, it was sent to the 1st Panzer Army on the Eastern Front, fought in Upper Silesia and surrendered to the Soviets in the Tábor-Pisek area of Czechoslovakia on 2 May.
