Today I decided to remove the handle to see if it was signed sure enough it was. Would anyone be able to give me some information about the signature. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you very much.Attachment 1263609

When I took it out of cover there were 2 pornografic pic in the bottom, maybe French?Anyway cant show the grafic part here but sure was a surprise(a part of its travel history ,ha!).Guess the GI picked them up in France maybe or somewhere over there. They were hidden under cup in very bottom of cover.Seller had no idea they were there I dont think! If not appropriate post mods, please delete.
Hello all Im Joe, have always had interest in world war II and overall history buff. Discovered this site yesterday and had to sign up hoping to meet some cool people and expand my knowledge.
I’ve been watching this forum for a while. But I was a bit hesitant to write something here. Now I would like to gain experience and share. My collection area are edged weapons third Reich.
I’m glad.
Ten, or so, years ago a small number of these came in from China through Ebay. Before that drawings were about all one could find concerning these grenades. It was replaced by the later Type 91 for knee mortar use. It appears that probably none of these made it out to the Pacific after that replacement. Otherwise, these would have been brought back as souvenirs and would have been shown in US military publications. After that small influx of grenades the supply has again dried up so they are quite rare again. I was lucky enough to pick up four of these and sold two of those to the late Doss White.
Note that the grenade was loaded through the bottom and did not have a removable top plate. Another interesting feature is the short brass fuse cover. The fuse has been deactivated but not burnt out like most were. This left intact the wax exhaust port plug.
I picked up this nice looking Dutch Wolfsangle stickpin not to be confused with the similar horizontal pin associated with WHW and Kindergruppe der NS-Frauenschaft. As I pointed out in another thread, many websites pass this Kindergruppe der NS-Frauenschaft type pin as a Dutch Wolfshook.
As I photographed the pin though I noticed a lot of extra material around the back edges. This is usually indicative of an item made from a mold not a true die-struck badge. I welcome any opinions on authenticity of this wolfsangel pin.
