Saw this on a dealer’s site, I have little experience with war time charm style miniatures and would appreciate opinions on this one. How common were these types of minis during the war, you don’t seem to see them that often?
Dont know much about it but for 499.00 if it shoots good I will be a happy camper.Looks all ww2 parts, stock matches finish cond. Some SA parts, but been on there a long time.Probably rebuilt post war as most were, finish looks original ww2 to me as markings are pretty crisp. No import marks and bore is nice.Small gunshop pick up,almost tore my pants pocket getting my wallet out.
Cap never had a sewn insignia & there’s oxidation under insignia prong indicating it’s been on cap. Clearly navy style field cap. Insignia is nicely detailed 2 dimensional brass. I had seen a period photo of Japanese factory/arsenal workers sitting behind tables wearing caps with same insignia. I think aviation related. Photo was posted on one of the FB groups. If anyone has seen photo or can provide a link to it I’d greatly appreciate it! My cap has had a leather oval added as a backing. No markings or stamps anywhere.
So I bought this helmet from a ww2 auction which was said to be authentic. I was wondering if you guys could help me out by giving me more information about it and if its even authentic. Thank you for all the answers in advance
