I was pleasantly surprised to see the soldier’s name written on the yoke. Looks like Heinrich Kramer to me. Hard to make out. Suppose it could be Herman. Anyway a nice been there pair and inner straps are maker marked Moritz Stecher Freiberg 1941.
Will post more when I am done playing soldier dress up.
what do you think about this m18? helmet and liner,is it a good one or bad,the painting of the helmet looks good to me but tricolor decal and liner?hope you can help me,
Hope you all enjoy it. I love the shape! One of my new favorites!
This visor has a few unique characteristics.
1) Cotton Embroidered Insignia
2) No chinstrap (i.e. they were never there, not removed)
3) Not as common grey underside of brim
4) Made to look like a Crusher but is not
Lining and sweatband give the appearance that it is in bad shape but in reality it is just cosmetic and quite solid. It just shows that this visor was well used in the field. Exterior is in mint condition with the minor exception of some dirt on the insignia. Too bad the sweat shield is long gone. Would have been nice to know the maker.

Recently I obtained a German heer dagger and did some research on different sites and I still can’t figure out if it’s real or fake.
I can’t take it apart. The pommel is stuck. I used some ”force” but don’t wanna damage it.
The grip is because of this a little bit loose. Probably because you can’t screw the pommel completely onto the blade.
The blade is unmarked and shows some signs of oxidation and stains and I didn’t wanna clean it so fare. But there is hope to make it more shiny. I think the last owner used WD40 to keep the blade ”oiled”
On the hanger I see D.R.G.M
The dagger looks in okay condition but some cleaning will help I guess.
Also some questions from my side.
If this dagger is fake, did they made unmarked fake / replica’s ?
What kind of dagger is this.
Is my Portapee or Hanger real?
And is a Dagger in this condition valuable?
What´s your opinion about this red scabbard? I saw red scabbard for K98, could it be the same case? /Found together with a ww1 linneman type shovel/ Thank You.
