A very early medal group to a French Soldier killed in action just before the battle of the Marne. I got this - along with some other groups, at the beginning of the year. The problem is that I’ve run out of room to hang them all! The second set is also likely to a K.I.A… but sadly there is no name to enable any research to be done.

Another medal i got from London was this Deutsches Schutzwall-Ehrenzeichen (west wall) medal set. This medal type seems relatively common and pretty unpopular to collect. I picked it up as i didn’t have one yet. its a mint i think set that was never given out.

the medal was made by Carl Poellath / Schrobenhausen as labelled on the back of the packet. sorry if these photos are off, i am trying to use a proper Nikon camera instead of a phone and i am still getting used to it. That and this is my first thread using a computer to upload.
