Waffen-SS NCO’s Visor “Crusher” Cap

This nice gray SS cap has come up for auction and I thought I’d post it for review. While I have become more adept at authenticating the totenkopf insignia, the cap itself requires more knowledge and experience than I possess. The cap appears correct to me but I’d like opinions from the real connoisseurs. Thank you, Al

Real Dagger?

Hi there. I wanted to get some info on this dagger

I want to know if it is real or not because im not too familiar with RZM marks

This is not my post, but someone else’s

Excellent Soviet Visor Site

This is a really nice site on Soviet visors covering 1943-1991.
As you can see, there also was a wide variety of Soviet organisations that were uniformed.

Like the East German visors, the later ones are low-quality (plastic visors and vinyl sweatbands), but the earlier ones are better quality.
The General/Marshall parade visors are of the highest quality (even up to 1991), and feature direct-embroidered bullion with patent leather visors.
(& I agree, from an aesthetic perspective, they can’t touch the TR visors).

Check it out here:

RAD Dagger (refinished?)

Below I have an RAD dagger I recently picked up, the blade appears to be in very nice condition with some interesting issue markings near the handle. One thing that attracted me was the glossy black scabbard paint that was described by the seller as “original”, although in very good shape I can see the paint bleeds over to the metal scabbard fittings. Other than that the paint resembles another dagger I have which I am certain is original. I would very much appreciate any feedback.

BDM Pennant

This is a small HJ / BDM pennant I just picked up. It measures approximately 6 inches wide and 8 inches long. It has no markings or tags but the material and construction appear correct. All opinions are welcome. Thanks, al

WW2 Japanese swords

Apologies if this is being posted in the wrong section, but I am looking to expand my collection of WW2 militaria to include some Japanese items. One of these would be an officer or NCO sword. But as this is an area that I have little knowledge about I wanted to get some guidance from those more knowledgable than me on this forum first

I am not looking for a crazy price 16th century family sword used by an officer in WW2 etc. in fact my price point is lower end, and I seem to have a choice between hand made swords used any officers or slightly cheaper factory made NCO swords. My preference is actually drawn to the factory swords because as historical WW2 artefacts they actually fit in with my collection of other items (i..e mass produced items like bayonets, helmets etc). I understand some people would sniff at this and rather look at the hand made swords first, but I am doing this more as a WW2 collector than a sword enthusiast.

So my question for those of more in the know on these items is whether I have got my bearings right here and the factory swords are sought after and collectable, or should I be looking more at the hand crafted jobbies?

All feedback appreciated, thanks.
