Hi

I have just acquired this French side cap. It’s wool and was in rag order when I first got it but have cleaned it up gently. No holes and is stamped inside (see pics). It’s army but I’m unsure on Corps or age. I have been advised French Medical Corps for a pte soldier, is this correct?

Also the stamps with any likely age numbers on are slightly worn. I can make out: 19 11 56 in the lozenge between the 2 diamond stamps. Also in the middle rectangle stamp there is: something something 36?

Can anyone enlighten me as to its age please?

I recently acquired a nice Type 14 2nd Series. All matching except for magazine as shown. Broken firing pin that is numbered to the gun. The grip panels are numbered but the one is strange. Any opinions are appreciated. The second question is put a replacement firing pin in or have it repaired??? Thank you for looking.

I have been offered these as "Original", My question is the band underneath.. How was this to even attempt to stay in place ? I have done some research.. It seems to be Oberarbeitstfuhrer but the pips do not match color wise amongst the two and the sewn in ? Any help appreciated G
