Good day, Gentlemen,
I have a nice, early Type-92 Seoi-Bukuro ‘tube pack’ with a curious cloth label, stitched into the seam, near the Army markings.
Scouring Mr. komiya’s superb articles, my initial thoughts veered toward a price-control label, though I cannot find any visual match with the sample shown in his article and, as I understand it, this should not appear in a military issue item anyway.
My own command of Kanji is, to say the very least, feeble, so I welcome any light you can shed upon this item. I look forward to hearing from you wizards…
Many thanks,
Bob
The signature in some ways looks familiar, and the individual was living also in Istanbul and Oslo during the war…could he have been in the security services?
Is he the same individual that signed the 1939 Lodz visa?

Curious if you have seen this book in your collecting travels & would like your opinions. I have been looking at picking this up from a respected fellow collector out east. We have been sharing calls and emails discussing this piece. The book measures 9-3/4 x 6-3/4. It was never available for public sale. It was only given to visitors such as dignitaries or VIPs who were guests of Hitler at Berchtesgaden, Der Berghof. I have only ever seen very few copies up for sale over the years & believe there only to be few copies of it still out there. Years ago I did see one up for auction that had Hitler’s signature in it and it sold for close to 3K. It contains twelve postcard size full color photographs, each protected by parchment paper. The book is complete with each of the 12 cards inside that shows a different room inside the house. I have spoken to a couple literature collectors who help me authenticate things from time to time but thought I would post to my peers here as well on WRF. I am pretty confident it is the real deal but wanted to get some opinions here. Originals had to exist or the links below of reissued versions would not exist. What say you?
2 - Here is a link to one with a printed Adler versus the embossed on I am showing. It was a vet bring back. This has the same 12 photos inside but has a variant to adler on cover. Not doubtful it could have had a couple versions exist. Der Berghof Photo Card Album
3 - You will also see a reproduction of this on line here at this link which does talk of it being a reissue: Access Denied
