My WW1 British Military Medal

Hello everyone
today was a really happy day for me as I managed to buy from an estate sale here in Romania, a WW1 British Military Medal. The item is made of silver, 2,8 mm thick, aprox. 36 mm in diameter and is unmarked on the side. As far as I know, in WW1 were given to the Romanian NCO’s and soldiers 58 British Military Medals and I have many reasons to believe that this is one of them.
This is the second medal of this type (as far as I know) that appears in Romania. Perhaps there are others but until now are unknown.
I would really appreciate if you could share with me more info regarding these medals offered to allied troops and unmarked
Best regards
Sever (Romania)

Hi

Hi everyone,

Just registered to make my first post. I had an account before but changed my e-mail address, so here I am again. I wasn’t very active on the forum since I stopped collecting German militaria a couple of years ago. But occassionally I find stuff, which is why I am here.
My main interest is American ww2 militaria. Also interested in German and British stuff, and basically anything to do with the First or Second World War.
History is a passion and worldwide conflicts are something that have always intrigued me.

In memory and honor of the men who gave their lives, I"m glad communities like these exist, so that their sacrifice is not forgotten.

I guess I’ll see all of you around?

Ken

303 Squadron is arguably the most famous Battle of Britain Fighter squadron, but their prized trophy is from action over the beautiful rural Derbyshire countryside near to where I live. See my blog for an illustrated account.

M40 panzer ss sidecap

Hello guys ,
I’am new on this forum :-)
For my first post I would like your opinion on this m40 pz ss side cap.
I got it for cheap . I bought this cap for the price of a copy in doubt …
The cut of the cap is regular for a ss including the “false piping”
Lining is in black cotton , sewing threads are also black cotton.
no materials are synthetic.

I have never seen half-size on a cap, is it possible and , I do not see the interest of also having a half size on copies.
Thank your for your help
