Kriegsverdienstkreuz Klasse 1 mit schwertern

I just wanted to share a recent find of mine, a war merit cross first class with swords. I found this at an antique mall, and although it is rough, I couldn’t pass it up for $10. is there any way that it could be cleaned up a bit without damaging it?

Help on identifying the right person.

This is the information for Guards Lieutenant Левченко Александр Николаевич.
These pictures are from the document for Victory over Germany. There is also Defense of the Caucuses.
In Feats of the People there appear to be two Lieutenants (one is listed with two different years of birth but look like the same person). It doesn’t look like this person as the unit was in the Northern Sectors during the war.

There is also a Guards Technical Lieutenant that appears to be part of a Separate Tank Repair Battalion? But the listed person was with the 2nd Belarussian Front, so it isn’t clear that this is correct either? The Caucuses document is from 1946 and doesn’t indicate the unit. Is there more than can be determined from this document?

Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

Post war Ushanka??

Hi all

Picked up this Russian?? Ushanka in a local charity shop….not sure if the officers badge is correct but this is how it was ……im guessing 80’s would that be correct??
The stamp is sadly very faded …..but…can just about make out the size 58….

Q helmet batch number

Hi all,
If anybody would be so kind to give me any additional (if any) information on the batch number on this one? I’m aware that Quist manufactured the M40 style longer than the other makers.

My friend found in a german house these black leather bags.
Looks like old army saddlebag.
No markings.
Sizes: about 33X20X8 cm
What is your opinon?
Civil or army pieces?
