Picked this up at a yard sale a couple of years ago. According to Google it is the first repeating rifle for the german army. It is black powder . I have not been able to find an image of the same rifle so dont know if it was ever equipped with a bayonet. In nice shape and glad to acquire it, been on my wall since. Anyone with any more info it is appreciated. Cheers Brian

Question 1918 LF&C Trench Knife, real or fake?

I found this US "Trench Knife" at a local Pawn Shop. He said he’s had it for many years and has no idea where he got it. It was cheap enough, so I decided why not!

Honestly, I think it’s real. It has a steal nut, darkened steel blade, font looks correct, etc. I’d love the experts opinions though.

I’d also very much like a value, although I’m not currently looking to sell.

British Scalp Protective helmet

Morning everyone,
I’ve found this British helmet, but I do not know this model very well; I know it was used by Army Air Corps, and it’s the endowment of ground crews of combat helicopters to protect them from flying objects moved by the helicopter rotors, in fact I found some images on the internet that confirm this; but I do not know if it has any other uses.

It is very light and comfortable and predisposed to be worn along with headphones and goggles, to note that no component is made of metal, not even rivets; I believe this feature is related to its particular use.
Even if it is not a ballistic helmet, its liner and external finish reminds me a lot the some characteristics of the mod. GS Mk6.
It seemed interesting to share with you.

Thanks for looking
Roberto
