This arrived in the mail today. Part of a package purchase. Had to buy this Luftschutz in order to buy the M40/Q60 soon to be posted.

Please take a look at the liner and chin strap. Can’t find another with similar liner and chin strap. Are they original to the helmet. Mr. Steel, your help in needed.

These were in a large lot of helmets, medals, field gear ect, ect I bought and was wondering if any of these are good, I am helmet collector and no nothing on badges or medals so maybe you can tell

Picked up this one 155/ 40 type 1 today.
I didn’t like the markings at first but I found several other examples with the same flaw in the SS runes. The bend of the prongs is interesting. Thanks for any other opinions.

Hello.

I’m new to this forum, and i’d like to start collecting. I’m not completely new, i’ve been looking for a decent helmet for 1-2 years now. I’ve also gotten a book about the different types of Heer, Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe helmets. I also look at different forums relatively often about this subject relatively often.

My questions is, though: Are there any sites that you could recommend to purchase from?

I’ve been looking through Weitze.com, and it seems like they have a nice selection of original items, but i’ve also read that they have had fakes up for sale at one point or another, so i’m a bit weary about them. I’ve also, of course, seen Espenlaub, as they pop up as advertisers, and i’m wondering if they are reputable.

what is your opinions?
Is it original or fake sword p-guard?
I have one photo.
Eagle looks like Hörster style, but never seen before this combination.
It seems to me a bit poor quality.
