We believe its german/prussian,likely tied to Baden and Frederick II,most likely early 1900’s (1910-1920 ?)

Completed my NSKK buckle today by adding a nice RZM Marked black belt with cross straps. The straps are early and are unique in that they have cast swastikas on the clips. Kind of an interesting addition to the belt and buckle. Belt is stamped as well with RZM L2/256/38. It also has an ink stamp inside but can’t make it out. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Also I picked up today for my youth collection a Hitlerjugend Sommer-Mütze (summer cap). Minor wear and discoloration. It has red cloth piping around the scallop. There is a faded, partially intact RZM tag inside. It is a small size 53. Hope you like.

I let this one pass because I wasn’t comfortable with it.

Too much fuzz and not enough sweat stains or age to it for me - yet the sewn on label ( that seemed to make it alright ) was worn……odd.

I bailed out and it was grabbed by another - did I do the right thing?

I’ve been anxiously waiting for Grenadier Military Auctions to start their latest auction and its finally here. I’ve already found a few tunics that have really caught my eye that I may consider purchasing. As always, I’d like to get some second opinions on these as I’m far from being an expert in the field. Hello folks.

Doing some browsing on eBay this evening, and I come across this. Thought it must have been a joke at first, but the seller seems to genuinely believe it has a chance. I don’t even know where to begin with this one. I’ll let the photos do the talking.

Seller’s description:

I found this interesting piece while doing a house clearance job at the weekend - (it was among a box of other bits and pieces which I will be listing shortly)

It is in the form of a brass iron cross design and has a silver coloured eagle in the centre and stamped 1939 as shown in my pictures

Due to the iron cross design and the eagle- I’m guessing that it’s some kind of WW2 German badge or medal

There are two lugs at the back where it looks like a pin was one attached also shown in my pictures

There are various marks etc on the item which makes me think that it has been worn

The cross is approximately 44 mm x 44 mm as displayed in my pictures

I have tried briefly searching online for some information but couldn’t find anything
