Need help with SS Officer Visor

Hello,

I was offerd for sale an 1st model SS visor with jawless skull and RZM label.
The visor from this hat is black on the out en inside, the which I have seen pictured were having black at the outside and brown at the inside of the visor.
I did some research but I can’t find anything usefull.
The maker is Deutsche Industrie I found some Hussar visors made by them but no SS visor.

My question is:

Did Deutsche Industrie made SS hats?
If yes is the which I attached (these are the only two pictures which I have) an original or not?

Hope I get some clear answers.

Thanks,

Advice on cleaning Nickle 63 buckle

Im a newly signed up member and was looking for some advice on what I suspect is a contentious subject amoungst members - cleaning (or not to clean) a buckle.

Whilst researching a recent RMZ 63 purchase in this forum I noticed that Ben had previously showed a very fine example before cleaning and after - and must confess that I liked the post clean pictures better.

So my question is how do you reach that light level of clean effect on a nickel buckle ?

I have viewed this forum from the outside for quite some time and found the advice on fakes has been very useful indeed.

Many thanks
Michael

Paul Tibbets Autographed picture.

I wanted to share this photo that I have had since Christmas of 2003. A friend who shared an interest in flying was in Florida at a commercial pilot school (I only made it to the controls of a Cessna 172 for a couple short stints while he did become a commercial pilot) and he got this for me at an air show. I had to take it out of its original frame and need to get a new frame for it, so I took an opportunity to photograph it to share. I made the lines on it so it wouldn’t be easily copied. Hard to write my name with the editor on a cell phone.

War Relics Militaria sales

Helmet/Hat display.

I have about 20-30 of these items and I saved them mostly for the brass content. As I use brass in many ways, I felt it would be a waste to let them go for scrap.
They are mounts for a foot rail at a bar. I don’t remember how I came by them but I did.
So, I was looking at them all sitting on my deck one day and was trying to figure out a way to utilize them. Here is what I came up with.
I cut off the part for the brass pipe to go through as well as the supports. I polished the brass and drilled two extra holes at the end that did not have any. I then checked the clearance and had to make up something to give the hat/helmet a little more distance from the support. Some require more height than others.
I figured they could save a little shelf space. :)
Ralph.
